Right sized boxes cost less than you think
Most packing stations run on three or four box sizes that almost fit. The gap gets filled with paper, air pillows or bubble wrap, and the oversized box costs more to ship because couriers bill on dimensional weight. A custom size that actually fits your product often pays for itself on void fill and freight alone.
Send us a list of what you ship most and we will suggest a small family of sizes that covers it. Fewer sizes also means simpler inventory and bigger runs per size, which brings the unit price down again.
Single wall or double wall?
Single wall corrugated (one layer of flute) handles most packing and shipping jobs. Double wall adds a second flute and roughly doubles the stacking strength, which matters for heavy items, long storage or boxes that sit at the bottom of a pallet for months. We will ask about weight and stacking before we recommend either, because paying for double wall when you do not need it is money in the recycling bin.
Plain, stamped or printed
Plain kraft is the cheapest. A one colour print of your logo, a website or handling marks adds very little per box on a decent run and makes your boxes easy to spot in a warehouse. Moving and storage companies often print a contents panel on the side so customers can write room names and box numbers.
