Styles that run on your line
Reverse tuck end and straight tuck end cartons are the classics: fast to fold and cheap to make. Auto bottom (crash lock) cartons pop open with a locked base, which is great for heavier products and hand packing. Sleeves, trays, hang tab cartons and display cartons are all made from the same board. Tell us how you pack (by hand or on a cartoner) and we will pick a style that runs smoothly.
Board grades without the jargon
SBS (solid bleached sulphate) is bright white all the way through and prints the cleanest colour. CUK and kraft board have a natural brown face for an earthy look. Recycled board (CRB) is greyish inside and the most economical. Thickness is measured in points: 16 to 18 pt suits most small products, 20 to 24 pt adds stiffness for heavier or premium items.
Finishes worth paying for
A good finish changes how a carton feels in the hand. Soft touch lamination gives a velvety surface. Hot foil stamping adds metallic logos. Embossing raises a logo you can feel. Spot gloss makes one element shine on a matte box. Each adds cost, so we price them separately and will tell you honestly which ones earn their keep on your product.
