Dimensional weight, briefly
Couriers bill on actual weight or dimensional weight, whichever is higher. Dimensional weight is calculated from the box size, so a light product in a big box gets billed like a heavy one. Shaving a couple of centimetres off each side of a box can move an order into a cheaper bracket. On a few thousand orders a month that adds up to real money.
A box that fits means less filler
Void fill costs money, takes time to pack and annoys customers who have to dig through it. A box sized to the product (or a small set of sizes for your range) needs little or none. Add a simple cardboard insert and fragile items stay put without plastic.
Make the box do some marketing
Your shipping box is the first thing a customer touches. A one colour logo on kraft is inexpensive and looks great. Full colour printing outside, or a printed message inside the lid, turns a delivery into something people photograph. We quote every option so you can decide what is worth it.
