Designing for brown board
Because kraft is brown, ink sits darker on it and white is not available unless it is printed. That is a feature: one colour designs in black, navy, deep red or forest green look fantastic. Full colour artwork can look muddy, so if your design depends on bright colours, consider a white board or a white ink underlay.
Kraft folding cartons and kraft corrugated
Kraft comes in both of the main cardboard families. Kraft paperboard (CUK) makes crisp retail cartons. Kraft corrugated makes mailers and shipping boxes. Using both gives a range that looks like it belongs together, from the shelf box to the shipper.
Recyclable, and it looks it
Kraft board is widely recyclable in Canada, and with water based inks and no plastic lamination the whole box goes in the blue bin. We will help you keep the design simple so it stays that way.
