Design the carton around the pallet
The cheapest freight is a full, stable pallet. A carton that is a few millimetres too big can drop a whole row off every layer. When we size a master carton we look at the case count, the product dimensions and the standard 48 by 40 inch pallet so the cartons fill it with little overhang and no wasted space.
Case markings that help, not clutter
Receivers need a few things fast: what is inside, how many, the lot or batch, and a barcode they can scan. Add handling symbols if the contents are fragile or need to stay dry, and a box certificate showing the board strength. We print all of it in one or two colours with flexo, which costs very little per carton.
Strength for stacking
A master carton at the bottom of a pallet carries everything above it, sometimes for months in a warehouse. We look at the gross weight, the stacking height and how long the cartons will be stored, then pick a single or double wall board with enough compression strength and some safety margin.
