Cardboard carton boxes

A carton box is a box with a job to do beyond holding things: carrying a brand, keeping a set of products together, or arriving at a store ready to sell. We make them in white or kraft board, plain or printed, sized to whatever you are putting inside.

What people use cardboard carton boxes for

  • Product packaging

Cartons that protect the product and show off the brand at the same time.

  • Multipacks

Cartons that hold four, six or twelve units together for retail.

  • Subscription boxes

A carton that feels like a gift when it lands on the doorstep.

  • Corporate kits

Onboarding, event and promo kits with printed interiors.

  • Food service

Catering and takeout cartons in food safe board.

  • Retail ready cases

Cartons that open into a tray so staff can put them straight on the shelf.

White board makes colour pop

Printing on kraft gives you that natural, earthy look, but colours come out darker because the brown shows through. A white top liner keeps colours bright and true, which is why most printed carton boxes use it. If your brand colours are specific, ask for Pantone matching and we will match them on the proof before the run.

Folding carton or corrugated carton?

Small, light products usually go in a folding carton: a single sheet of paperboard, very crisp print, great for shelves. Heavier products or anything that ships on its own needs corrugated. An E flute corrugated carton is a nice middle ground: thin enough for sharp print and tight folds, strong enough to ship. We will recommend the lightest board that does the job so you are not paying for strength you do not need.

Inserts keep things in place

A carton holding several items usually needs something to stop them sliding around. Cardboard inserts and dividers are cheap, recyclable and can be printed too. We design them together with the carton so everything fits the first time.

Who orders these

Cardboard Carton Boxes: common questions

What is a cardboard carton box?

It is a broad term for a box made from paperboard or corrugated board that holds a product, usually printed. In practice it covers folding cartons for retail and lightweight corrugated cartons for shipping and multipacks.

Can you print the inside of the carton?

Yes. Inside printing is a popular upgrade for subscription and gift boxes. It costs more than outside only printing, and we will price both so you can decide.

Are your carton boxes recyclable?

Paperboard and corrugated cartons are widely recyclable in Canadian curbside programs. Plastic windows and some laminations can make that harder, so ask us for the most recyclable version of your design.

Can I order several designs in one run?

Yes. Multiple SKUs are welcome. Digital printing makes it practical to split a run across several designs without paying for new plates each time.
